Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance applications. This role involves full ownership across the stack, from backend services to user interfaces, supporting systems that handle high data volumes and require strong reliability and performance.

You will work within a collaborative engineering team following Agile and Extreme Programming (XP) practices, partnering with product, operations, and engineering stakeholders to deliver business-critical systems. The role emphasizes quality, scalability, observability, and user-centric design.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development

• Design and develop robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Vite.
• Contribute across the full application stack, including database interactions and UI components.

Scalable Systems & Architecture

• Design and implement scalable systems capable of handling high-throughput data and large transaction volumes.
• Integrate Kafka for event-driven architecture and real-time data processing workflows.
• Ensure applications are observable, measurable, and optimized for performance.

Cloud & DevOps

• Develop and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and follow best practices using tools like Maven and Git.
• Build and maintain reliable, production-grade systems.

Collaboration & Engineering Practices

• Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming as part of daily development.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and external partners.

Integration & Business Logic

• Integrate with external systems and partners via REST APIs.
• Implement business logic to support complex, high-volume operational workflows.
• Ensure system reliability, data accuracy, and SLA adherence.

Leadership & Ownership

• Lead technical initiatives within the team and contribute to broader engineering efforts.
• Promote best practices, code quality, and shared ownership across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive feedback.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong experience with:
• Java and Spring Boot
• React and TypeScript
• Relational databases (MySQL or similar)
• REST API design and development
• Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Maven.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Exposure to production monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace).
• Strong experience with TDD and Pair Programming in practice.
• Experience with GitLab or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of real-time data processing systems.
• Experience integrating with external carriers or logistics platforms.
